The Skirt Incident
A Fictional Story by limpshrimp83.
The restaurant was one of those mid-range Italian places with the dim lighting and the bread baskets that kept getting refilled whether you asked or not. There were six of us crammed into a corner booth—me, Cassie, and four others who don’t really matter to this story. We were sharing a couple bottles of wine, laughing about old stories, catching up on new jobs, new relationships, the usual stuff.
Cassie sat across from me. She looked good tonight—she always looked good, but tonight she’d put in that extra bit of effort. Her blonde hair was down, falling well past her shoulders, straight and shiny in that way that always made me want to reach across and run my fingers through it. She was wearing a flowy skirt that fell to her ankles and a fitted top that made it hard not to notice her chest. Not that it was ever easy to not notice her chest. Cassie was busty. Genuinely, undeniably busty. The kind of busty where every top fits a little tighter than it’s supposed to, and every guy at the table has to remind himself to make eye contact during conversation actively.
I’d had a thing for her since forever. Part of it was just that she was objectively attractive—tall, great smile, easy laugh. But part of it was deeper than that, more wired into me. See, the first pair of boobs I ever saw in real life were hers. Back in college, during a trip to the lake, she’d changed her top without really thinking about it, and I’d gotten a full, unobstructed view. I was eighteen at the time, and that image burned itself into my brain like a brand. Every blonde I’d ever been attracted to since then had basically been a variation of her. The long hair, the curves—it was all her fault, honestly.
Anyway. Dinner wound down. The check got split six ways, which took forever, and people started gathering their things. Cassie stood up and stretched, and I noticed her skirt dragging a little on the floor. It was one of those lightweight, gauzy things—looked great, but probably not the most practical.
“I need to hit the bathroom before we leave,” she said, grabbing her purse.
“Same,” I said, standing up too.
We said our goodbyes to the others, promising to do this again soon, and headed toward the back where the restrooms were. The hallway was narrow, and we walked side by side, which meant we were close. Her skirt trailed behind her on the tile floor.
I took a half-step to get ahead so I could hold the bathroom door for her, and my foot came down right on the hem of her skirt.
I felt the fabric catch under my shoe before I heard it. There was this awful, slow-motion moment where I felt the resistance, realized what I’d stepped on, and then watched as the entire back of her skirt got yanked down in one smooth motion.
It dropped to about mid-thigh. Maybe lower. And in that instant, I saw everything.
She wasn’t wearing anything underneath. No panties, no thong, nothing. Just bare skin from her waist to where the bunched fabric pooled around her legs. And on her right ass cheek, written in what looked like black Sharpie, were words. I didn’t have time to read the whole thing—I caught something like “property of” and then a name I didn’t recognize—but the message was clear enough. Someone had written on her ass, and she’d been walking around all night with that hidden under her skirt.
The whole thing lasted maybe two seconds. I lifted my foot off the fabric, and she yanked the skirt back up with both hands, her face going red so fast it was almost impressive.
We both froze. I looked down the hallway behind us—empty. The noise from the dining area covered any sound the fabric might have made. Nobody was coming.
“Shit,” she said under her breath, holding the skirt bunched at her waist. “Shit, shit, shit.”
“Nobody saw,” I said quickly. “I don’t think anyone saw.”
She looked at me, and I looked at her, and we both knew that I saw. That was the thing. Even if the rest of the restaurant was oblivious, I’d gotten a perfect, unobstructed view. Her bare ass, the marker writing, all of it. There was no unseeing that.
We walked the rest of the way to the bathrooms in silence. She was holding her skirt up with one hand, which looked a little odd, but the hallway was empty so it didn’t matter. When we got to the doors, she stopped and turned to me.
“I’ll call you later,” she said. Not a question. A statement. Her face was still flushed, and she wouldn’t quite meet my eyes.
“Okay,” I said.
She disappeared into the women’s restroom, and I went into the men’s. I stood at the urinal for a minute, not even really peeing, just processing what I’d just seen. Cassie’s bare ass. Writing in marker. No panties. What the hell was that about? Whose name was that? Was she seeing someone? Was this some kind of kink thing?
I washed my hands, splashed some water on my face, and went back out. By the time I got to the front of the restaurant, the rest of the group had already left. I paid for parking and drove home, replaying the moment on a loop.
—
The call came at around eleven that night. I was sitting on my couch, half-watching something on my phone, when her name popped up on screen. I answered on the second ring.
“Hey,” I said.
“Hey.” A pause. “So. That happened.”
“Yeah.”
“Are you going to say anything? To anyone?”
“What? No. Of course not.”
She exhaled. “Okay. Good. That was… god, that was so embarrassing. I forgot I wasn’t wearing anything under that thing, and then you just—”
“Stepped on your skirt like an idiot. Yeah. I’m sorry about that.”
“It’s not your fault. The skirt is stupid. I shouldn’t have worn it out. I just…” She trailed off.
I could tell she was mortified. Cassie was usually so put-together, so confident. Hearing her stumble over her words was unusual. I wanted to make her feel better, mostly because she was my friend and I cared about her, but also because I genuinely didn’t think it was that big a deal. People are into all kinds of things. So what if she had some writing on her ass? It’s her body, her business.
“Hey, don’t worry about it,” I said. “Seriously. Everybody’s into something a bit weird. I’m sure I’m into something weirder than you are.”
Silence on the line. Then: “What do you mean?”
“I mean whatever that was—the writing, the no-panties thing, all of it—that’s your business, and it’s fine. I’m not judging. I’ve got my own stuff.”
Another pause, longer this time. When she spoke again, her voice had shifted. Less panicked, more curious.
“Well, you know what I’m into now. Or at least you got a pretty good hint.” She let that hang there for a second. “It’d be a lot less embarrassing if you told me what you’re into. You know, even the playing field a little.”
I leaned back against the couch. I thought about it. I thought about the fact that I’d just accidentally seen her bare ass, that she was the first woman I’d ever seen topless, that I’d been thinking about her on and off for a decade, and that I was about to tell her something I’d never told anyone in real life.
I’d been into SPH—small penis humiliation—for years. I don’t know exactly when it started. Somewhere in my early twenties, I stumbled into it online, and it hit something in me. The reason it hit so hard was that it wasn’t fantasy. My dick is about four inches hard. That’s it. Four inches, and really thin. Like, genuinely thin. I can wrap my hand around it, and my fingers overlap. It looks like a finger. It’s always been a source of insecurity, and at some point that insecurity curdled into a fetish. The humiliation, the teasing, the comparison—it all did something for me that regular porn couldn’t.
I’d never told anyone. Not past girlfriends, not close friends, nobody. But Cassie was different. I’d known her for ten years. She’d just had her own secret exposed, accidentally, by me. And she was asking.
“Okay,” I said. “I’m into SPH. Small penis humiliation.”
“What’s that?”
“It’s basically what it sounds like. Being teased or humiliated about having a small dick.”
A beat. “And… you have a small dick?”
“Yeah. It’s like four inches hard. And really thin. Like a finger.”
“Pfft.” The sound came out before she could stop it—I could tell by the way she immediately tried to cover it with a cough. “Sorry. Sorry, I didn’t mean—”
“No, it’s fine. That’s kind of the point.”
“Makes sense,” she said.
I blinked. “Makes sense? What the hell does that mean?”
“What? It makes sense.”
“Makes sense how? What about that makes sense?”
She laughed. “I don’t know! It just… you’ve always been kind of submissive, and you’re always deferring to people, and I guess I just—”
“I’m not submissive! I’m polite. There’s a difference.”
“Okay, okay. But you have to admit, it kind of fits.”
“I feel like I should be offended right now.”
“You literally just told me you’re into being made fun of for your dick. I don’t think you get to be offended.”
I laughed. She was right, and that made it funnier. We bantered back and forth for a few minutes—me pretending to be indignant, her not pretending at all. It felt weirdly natural. Like we’d crossed some invisible line, and instead of it being awkward, it was just… easy.
Eventually, I said, “Hey, since we both know what each other’s into, there’s not gonna be any awkwardness, right? I don’t want this to get weird between us.”
“No,” she said. Then, after a pause: “But I might make fun of you for it.”
My stomach did something. A little flip, a little tighten. “Hey, we both know I’d like that, so you’d just be doing me a favor.”
She burst out laughing. Not a polite laugh, not a nervous one—a full, genuine, head-thrown-back laugh. “Oh, my god. You’re impossible.”
“I prefer ‘honest.'”
“You’re impossible and honest. Great combination.”
We talked for a while after that. She told me about some movie she’d watched recently—some thriller with a twist ending she wanted me to see. I half-listened, half-still processing the fact that I’d just told Cassie about my dick and she’d laughed about it, and nothing was ruined. If anything, it felt like we were closer than before. The conversation was easy in a way that only happens when you’ve taken something heavy off your chest.
When we hung up, I sat there for a minute, staring at my phone. A decade-long friendship, and I’d just handed her the most personal, most embarrassing thing about me on a silver platter. And she’d taken it in stride. More than that—she’d already started teasing me about it, which meant she’d understood exactly what I was into and was willing to play along.
The whole thing had started with me stepping on her skirt and seeing something I wasn’t supposed to see. And it had ended with me telling her something I’d never told anyone. Fair trade, maybe.
The part that really stuck with me, though, was the “I might make fun of you for it” line. The way she’d said it—casual, almost playful, like it was a given. Like of course she was going to bring it up again. Like this was the beginning of something, not the end of it.
I thought about that as I brushed my teeth. I thought about it as I got into bed. I thought about what it would be like the next time I saw her in person, knowing that she knew—knowing that she might say something—knowing that she’d already seen me react to the idea of her saying something, and that she’d found it funny, not weird.
Our friendship wasn’t going to suffer. That was the main thing. Ten years, and it survived me accidentally pulling her skirt down and her finding out I’ve got a four-inch dick that I like being teased about. If anything, it was going to get more interesting.
I set my phone on the nightstand and closed my eyes. Worth it, I thought. Definitely worth it.
The End.
