A Rumble in the Stockroom

My name is Poppy, and many years ago I had a Saturday job at a very large supermarket on the edge of town. It was one of those huge places with endless aisles, a bakery that made the whole store smell like sugar, and a back-of-house area so big you could get lost in it. Almost everyone who worked there was a teenager. Boys and girls from different schools, all thrown together on the same shifts, all flirting like mad between shelf-stacking and checkout duty.

The atmosphere was chaotic and a bit wild. There were always people snogging behind the bread ovens, swapping numbers in the staff room, or writing crude messages on the back of price labels. It was fun, loud, and full of hormones. I’ll never forget some of the things I saw down those back corridors.

One Saturday, I was sent into the stockroom to find a box of promotional soft drinks. The stockroom was enormous—tall metal shelving loaded with crates, cages full of bread trays, and hidden little alcoves between aisles of stock. As I walked in, I heard a strange mix of scuffling, muffled laughter, and panicked male voices. It was coming from deeper inside, near the old delivery door.

I kept quiet and crept behind a pallet of toilet rolls. Through a gap in the shelving, I saw something absolutely crazy.

Five of the boys who worked on the shop floor were being stripped naked by a larger group of lads. I didn’t catch the full reason straight away, but later I learned it was part of a revenge plot. One of the five had apparently grassed on some of the bigger lads, or maybe he’d said something about one of the girls, and the rest of them were going to be punished too just for being part of his crew. The larger group had cornered them in the stockroom, and now the clothes were coming off.

I stayed completely still. My heart was pounding. I knew if they saw me, things could go badly for me as well. So I watched from behind the pallets, hardly breathing.

It all happened very quickly. They yanked off shirts, unbuckled belts, and dragged down jeans and boxer shorts. The five boys were struggling and swearing, trying to cover themselves, but there were too many hands on them. Within minutes all five were completely naked, their backs pressed against a wire cage full of cardboard bales. Their wrists were bound behind them with plastic ties and tape. The larger group was laughing and making jokes, telling them they would be left somewhere special.

I remember thinking, This is insane. I can see my male colleagues naked. These were boys I’d laughed with by the checkouts, boys I’d shared shift covers with, boys I’d fancied or ignored. Now they were just bare-arsed and shivering, their willys on full display.

And I have to tell you, it was a proper mixed bag. Some were big, some not so, and some were circumcised. I’d always wondered, in that flirty, gossipy way we all did. Now the mystery was gone.

The lanky redheaded one, who worked on frozen food, had a surprisingly long willy. It was thin, but it hung down over his balls and swung as he tried to get free. The stocky lad from the produce aisle had a thick one, uncircumcised, with heavy balls below it. A quiet boy I barely knew had a small brown stub, neatly circumcised and sitting close against his body. Tony, who was always trying to be the funny one, had an average length, but it had a weird bend to the left and the foreskin half-covered the head, making it look a bit like a grumpy little worm.

And then there was Paul.

Paul was already known as shy. He was the type who never joined in the rude jokes, always looked away when the girls teased him, and went bright red at the slightest comment. When they pulled his boxers off, I saw why. His willy was tiny. Honestly, it barely poked out from his body. It was circumcised, pink, and no longer than the top joint of my thumb. His balls were small and tight with fear, and his whole area was almost hidden by a scruffy patch of dark hair. It looked like a little button mushroom sitting on a nest. I wanted to look away, but I couldn’t.

The larger group laughed hardest at Paul. One of them pointed and said, “Jesus Christ, check that little acorn.” Another said, “No wonder he’s always so quiet.” Paul’s face went very red, and he tried to turn away, but they had him trapped.

I felt a strange mix of shock and amazement. I’d never seen that many boys completely stripped at once, and certainly never so close up. It was like being let in on a secret I wasn’t supposed to know.

The group then marched the five naked boys further down the corridor, past the stockroom, toward the big metal door that led to the women’s locker room. They made them stand there, hands tied behind their backs, and told them that when the lunch break started, all the girls would find them. One of the ringleaders said, “Let’s see how popular you are then.” They used extra tape to keep the boys in place, then ran off laughing toward the staff corridor.

I stayed hidden behind the toilet roll pallet, too shocked to move. For a few minutes there was just the sound of the boys’ breathing and nervous whispering.

Then one of them, a wiry lad whose name I don’t even want to invent, managed to twist his hands enough to snap the plastic tie against the edge of a metal shelf. He cut himself free, grabbed an old box cutter from a nearby crate, and started setting the others free. He got two of them loose—the tall redhead and the stocky one. The three of them were just about to turn back for the last two when somebody shouted from the front of the store that the first wave of girls was heading in for the twelve o’clock lunch break.

The three freed boys panicked. They sprinted down the corridor, bare feet slapping on the floor, holding their wobbly bits as they ran off to get dressed. That left the final two.

Paul and Tony.

They were both still tied at the wrists. Paul started begging in this high, desperate voice: “Please, don’t leave me. Please, just cut me free. I don’t want them to see. I don’t want them to see.” But the others were already gone, and the sound of girls’ voices was getting closer. Tony was wriggling and twisting, desperately trying to slip his hands out, but the ties were too tight.

I stayed where I was, hidden. Part of me wanted to help. But another part of me, the flirty, mischievous part that had spent all those Saturdays being teased by these same boys, couldn’t look away. I felt sorry for them—especially Paul, whose tiny little willy was now shrinking even more with fear. It had practically disappeared into his pubic hair, leaving just a tiny pink head visible. I’d never seen anything so small on a teenage boy. It looked helpless and embarrassing, and he knew it.

“Please,” Paul kept whispering. “Someone cut us free. Please. I’ll do anything.”

But it was too late.

The twelve o’clock lunch break started. The staff room door swung open, and a whole group of us girls came flooding down the corridor with our bags and sandwiches. The first to notice was a loud girl with curly hair. She stopped dead, dropped her bag, and let out a shriek. Then more girls arrived, crowding around, and the noise exploded.

There were wolf whistles and cheers. Proper football-terrace cheers. The girls swarmed around Paul and Tony, pointing and laughing. “Oh my god, look at those!” someone yelled. “They’re proper tiny!” Another girl cupped her hands around her mouth and made a fake siren noise. “Wee-oo, wee-oo, small willy alert!” The laughter bounced off the metal lockers.

I decided to go over and join in. I stepped out from behind the pallet and walked toward the crowd. By the time I got there, the girls had formed a semicircle around the two tied-up boys. Paul and Tony were bright red, squirming, trying to turn away, but their hands were still bound behind them. It was no use. Everything was on show.

I squeezed through to the front. I could see both Tony’s and Paul’s pee-pees on full display. Tony’s was slightly longer but still nothing impressive—it had that odd bent shape and a half-covered head, like a little pink worm with a hood. But Paul’s was something else. It really was tiny. Even soft, it didn’t even reach an inch. I’d wondered earlier if it was the cold or the fear, but no. That was just Paul.

The girls were merciless. “That’s not a willy, it’s a button mushroom!” one of them shouted. “I’ve got bigger thumbs,” another laughed. “Paul, is that it? Is that all you’ve got?” The questions came thick and fast, with no expectation of answers. The wolf whistles continued every time he tried to turn his hips away, because every movement just made his little thing wobble.

I joined in, though I did feel a bit bad for him inside. “Too late to cover up now, boys,” I said, trying to sound tough and flirty at the same time. “The whole female staff is seeing what you’re working with.”

Someone found a pair of scissors in the locker room. After a bit more laughter and a few more comments about tiny acorns and useless little worms, we eventually cut them free. Paul and Tony didn’t even say anything. They grabbed their clothes, clutched them to their crotches, and ran off down the corridor, bare bums and all. The girls howled after them, shouting things like “Nice running, button mushroom!” and “Don’t drop your clothes, you’ll show us your little friend again!”

The two boys disappeared into the staff room, and for the rest of the day everyone was talking about it. In fact, that story was told for months. Paul in particular never lived it down. Every time he passed the women’s locker room, some girl would whisper “button mushroom” just loud enough for him to hear, and he’d go the color of a ripe tomato. Tony got it a bit less, but he wasn’t exactly dear to anyone either.

Me, I never told a soul that I’d been there from the very start, watching from behind the pallets. I kept my little secret. But I’ll never forget the sight of those five naked boys, all different shapes and sizes, and the look on Paul’s face when he realized that every girl in the supermarket was about to see just how tiny he really was. Sometimes I still laugh about it, even now.

The End.
